Privacy Policy

Effective Date: December 23, 2025
Version: 1.3
Last Updated: December 23, 2025

In short: We don't know who you are, we do not store your ChatGPT conversation history on our servers, and we don't track you. We only store your organized board when you choose to save it — nothing is stored automatically.

This Privacy Policy explains how Priority Guard ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) when you use our ChatGPT SDK applications, including Clarity and future apps in the Priority Guard suite.

Clarity runs inside ChatGPT and uses OpenAI's infrastructure to process your input. We do not store your ChatGPT conversation history on our servers — we store only your organized board when you explicitly save it.

2. Data We Collect

Below is the complete list of data we store. If it's not listed here, we don't collect it.

2.1 Clarity

Data Category What We Store Purpose
User Identifier Pseudonymous ChatGPT user ID (UUID) Identify your account across sessions
Board Data Structured thought clusters including: cluster names, subcluster names, thought items (text), optional priority rankings (P1/P2/P3), and system-generated behavioral tags (e.g., "research", "delegate") Save and restore your board across sessions
Content Hash SHA256 hash of board content Detect unsaved changes in the widget
OAuth Tokens Encrypted access and refresh tokens Authenticate your session with ChatGPT
Consent Records App name, scope (clarity.write), timestamp Compliance audit trail

What we do NOT store: Your full chat conversation or the raw text you type into ChatGPT. When you share thoughts, ChatGPT organizes them into structured clusters. If you choose to save your board, only this organized output (cluster names and thought items) is stored on our servers — not your conversation history or original unstructured messages. Nothing is saved unless you explicitly click save.

2.2 Data Limits

To ensure performance and prevent abuse, Clarity enforces the following limits on saved boards:

2.3 Shared Infrastructure

All Priority Guard apps share a common backend for authentication and user management:

2.4 Data We Do NOT Collect

3. Lawful Basis for Processing

We process your data based on your consent, granted when you authorize the app through ChatGPT's OAuth flow, and where applicable, to perform the service you request (saving and restoring your board). You can withdraw consent at any time by disconnecting the app or deleting your data.

4. Data Retention

Data Type Retention Period
Board data (Clarity) Until you delete it, or 6 months of inactivity
User account Until you delete it, or 6 months of inactivity
OAuth access tokens 1 hour (auto-refresh)
OAuth refresh tokens 30 days
Authentication session metadata Up to 2 years (or until 6-month inactivity cleanup, whichever is sooner)
Audit logs 90 days
Consent records Persistent (required for compliance)
Database backups 7 days (encrypted, then permanently deleted)

4.1 Automatic Inactivity Cleanup

After 6 months of inactivity (no active OAuth connections and no active consents), your account is anonymized or permanently deleted. This monthly process includes:

5. Data Storage & Security

5.1 Location

All data is stored on servers in the European Union (Germany) using Render's managed infrastructure. No data is transferred or stored outside the EU, except as noted in Section 6.

5.2 Security Measures

8. How to Delete Your Data

8.1 In-App Deletion (Recommended)

Within Clarity, simply ask ChatGPT to delete your data. For example:

You will be asked to confirm before deletion proceeds. This action permanently deletes your saved board and cannot be undone.

8.2 By Email

Contact support@priority-guard.com to request deletion of your data. Please specify which app (e.g., Clarity) in your request.

8.3 What Happens When You Delete

When you delete your Clarity data:

Note: Deleting your Clarity board does not delete your Priority Guard account. To delete your entire account across all apps, contact support@priority-guard.com.

9. Cookies

We use a single, strictly necessary session cookie (pg_session) for authentication on our own domain (e.g., during OAuth flows). This cookie is not accessible within the ChatGPT app iframe and is not used for tracking or analytics.
